Introducing Hoogduin Preservation B.V.

March 2016

As of January 2016 we have added mass deacidification with the Bookkeeper system and freeze

drying to the services we offer. We have acquired the machines for these services from Preservation

Technologies B.V. in Heerhugowaard (office in Krimpen aan de IJssel).

Staff member Frans Rodewijk has also joined us.

We will offer these services through our new sister company Hoogduin Preservation B.V.

Registration of a European Procurement Procedure

August 2012

The Dutch National Archive has issued in February 2012 a European procurement procedure for

the primary conservation/-restoration of archive material. It involves the preparation of the

digitalizationof loose leaf and bound documents, maps, drawings and photographic material.

This contract has been awarded to us and this means a commitment for a framework agreement

for at least 2 years. We are very happy with this development; it brings more stability to the

company in the long term.

Finally we are on the web!

April 2012

We proudly present our new website. Our aim is to offer good service and

information about the conservation and restoration of paper, parchment

and leather.

National Archives of Surinam in collaboration with Hoogduin

January 2012

The National Archives of Surinam have taken a new archive building into

use in April 2010. From early on Hoogduin papierrestauratoren have been

involved in the process of equipping the workshop with the right materials

and tools. In January 2012 we delivered and installed an automated

leafcasting machine and provided training in the operation and application

of the machine. The National Archives of Surinam now own a professional,

fully equipped workshop.

Follow up trainings will be given in Delft at the Hoogduin

papierrestauratoren workshop. Both Hoogduin papierrestauratoren and the

National Archives of Surinam intend to keep working together and

exchange knowledge. For pictures look on the right.

Project Wijk bij Duurstede

In 2002 the archive building of the city Wijk bij Duurstede suffered a

severe water damage. We are working on the conservation and

restoration of the damaged books and documents.
