Since 2010 we have been working on a major project from the Wijk bij Duurstede archive. This archive suffered water damage when the archive repository was flooded. The damaged material was then immediately freeze dried to await treatment. Finally in 2010 a green light was given to restore the archive to be available again for viewing in the reading room.

Condition of the Archive
The archive consists of loose archival material, linnen, leather and parchment bindings. The damages include among other things, adhesion of papers, dried out leather book covering, shrunken linnen book covering, warped cover boards,warped book blocks and torn inner hinges.
